Jacquelyn Anthony

Jacquelyn Anthony is a School Social Worker with Clayton County Board of Education. She obtained her Ed.D. in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University, a Master of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources from Georgia State University. She has written about parent involvement, Black women parenting, Critical Race Theory, and education in the U.S. South. Using memoir and fiction as her method for unearthing the silent narratives of Black female parents, she hopes to create a space for a communal approach to support student learning through the home, school, and community. She is currently involved in work that assists educators in understanding diversity to develop culturally competent schools.
