About the Journal

The Journal of Curriculum Theorizing (JCT) is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal. All content is freely and permanently available to readers worldwide, without subscription fees, paywalls, or article processing charges.

JCT does not charge authors any submission, review, or publication fees.

JCT publishes under a custom open-access license modeled on the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license. This means:

  • Readers are free to read, share, copy, distribute, and display articles for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and to JCT as the original site of publication.

  • Articles may be remixed or adapted for scholarly or educational use (such as teaching, translation, or non-commercial research), as long as attribution is maintained and the original work is not misrepresented.

  • Commercial reuse (e.g., publication in for-profit venues or platforms) requires permission from both the author(s) and the journal.

Authors retain copyright of their work and may archive, reuse, or share their articles freely, with acknowledgment of JCT as the site of original publication.

JCT is committed to the ethical circulation of knowledge and to the belief that scholarship—especially in the field of curriculum theory—should be accessible to educators, students, and communities worldwide.
